Inverness, the charming Highland capital, is steeped in historical and “Outlander” connections. Our two stunning Inverness Apartments Smart & Cozy and Smart & Stylish are renovated to an incredibly high standard in the heart of the city centre of Inverness. Both are situated one street back from the River Ness with easy access to all that the Highlands has to offer as a holiday destination. Many tours depart a few minutes away from the apartments and both are 5 minutes walk away from the train /bus station. We thought about every detail so you can have a home from home holiday. Our both apartments are but a short walk from the city centre with its shops, restaurants, museum and lively pubs, several featuring live traditional music. Riverside walks will take you to the cathedral, Eden Court Theatre and The Islands where you can cross the fast flowing River Ness by quaint footbridges and picturesque wooded paths.
Just a few miles east from Inverness is Culloden Battlefield where in 1746 Bonnie Prince Charlie made his last stand. Not far from there are the mysterious Bronze Age Clava Cairns and standing stones dating back to about 2,000 BC. Perhaps even more mysterious is the legend of “Nessie” the monster that is believed to inhabit the deep waters of nearby Loch Ness. Why not go seek Nessie by taking a short cruise on the Loch on one of the well-appointed Jacobite ships?.
Inverness is also an excellent centre for touring the wider Highlands and Islands, where majestic mountains, glens and lochs provide the backdrop for the romantic castles of clan chiefs. The observant can delight in the abundance of wildlife, from red deer to golden and sea eagles. The coastal scenery is spectacular where you can find unspoilt beaches, rocky headlands and deep sea lochs with pretty fishing villages. The possibilities are endless. They
